I certainly don't want to support violence, but the Sky News video has some very problematic statements. The host explicitly minimizes systematic racism and says this is evidenced by black people murdering black people and the Australian government spending loads of money to give Indigenous people advantages. The same kinds of ideas have been put forward to minimize systemic racism against Indigenous people in Canada, where I live.

The host also disagrees with the teaching of critical race theory in schools, since it suggests that racism exists.

At the end of the video, she says "It's time to fight back against this crap or take a knee and submit to it." That puts a very strange twist on athletes taking a knee as a form of peaceful protest against police brutality.

The reality of violence needs to be acknowledged, but this Sky News host is probably not the most helpful voice in that conversation.
